Join the team

At ProCare we are passionate about working with our clients to ensure they have the tools needed to navigate their own journey in the best way possible. As part of this journey we have teamed up with a number of government agencies to deliver our pilot programme, Te Tumu Waiora, to increase access to mental health services in the general practice setting, delivering immediately in line with a large number of findings outlined in the recent mental health inquiry.

The first year of the pilot has been a huge success and we are now looking to expand these services across more of our network. As such we are looking for additional mental health practitioners with experience in delivering psychological therapies to join the clinical teams working directly within General Practice.

Providing a broad range of wellbeing interventions to a wide section of our community, the role of Health Improvement Practitioner is modelled on the successful US Behavioural Health Consultancy role. It involves being an integral part of the general practice team, working directly with individuals and their families to help improve their mental health and wellbeing and providing consultations and advice to other members of the general practice team. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and ongoing mentoring from international consultants, which will appeal to clinicians with an interest and expertise in behavioural health and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
